National career Kenya Airways has begun direct flights from Kenya’s capital Nairobi to Victoria Falls with the final destination being Cape Town, South Africa.
The airline begun its operation on the route on May 1, 2017 and will continue flying to Cape Town through Victoria Falls three times a week.
Additionally, the airline has introduced a new promotion that allows travellers to book a flight and a car all at a go.
This service is however only available for airport transfers to Kisumu, Mombasa and Nairobi.
In early April, Kenya Airways signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) to promote tourism and boost Intra Africa traffic to the Island nation.
The agreement is in line with Kenya Airways strategic value to promote tourism in Kenya and sustainable development in Africa.
The MOU is aimed at promoting intra Africa tourism, joint marketing and participation in events across Africa, and stakeholder education.
“This partnership will also underscore the important role that Kenya Airways plays in the African economy development, specifically creating vital linkages between the continent and the international market on which tourism and other key sectors depend on and thrive,” said Kenya Airways outgoing Chief Executive Mbuvi Ngunze.
