Life in the wild can be very frustrating even for the strongest and fiercest animals.
This is the lesson a Leopard a Kruger National Park in South Africa learnt after his plan to attack two porcupines backfired, leaving him with the arduous task of removing quill from all over his face.
Donovan Piketh was following the leopard when he spotted the porcupines, and expecting a showdown, switched his camera to video mode.
“We were following the leopard as it was just walking along when my friend spotted the two porcupines walking towards the leopard,” Piketh told Latest Sightings.
“As soon as the leopard saw them it changed into stalking mode and we knew something was going to happen.”
The Leopards had to give up on his chase and focus on “cleaning” himself, leaving the porcupines to walk away unscathed.
